Shri Chander Singh Negi Memorial Trust' is named in the memory of a simple man from a humble background, who was always dedicated to helping those in need. Late Shri Chander Singh Negi, from Kola village in Block Pokhra of Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, was a former employee of Glaxo India Limited and devoted his life to philanthropic endeavors. He played a key role in founding the Kolagad Vikas Samiti aimed at the upliftment of his community.
• The trust is actively engaging the women members of the local communities to promote
entrepreneurship and skill development through formation of Self-Help Groups in various villages.
• It is also driving awareness about government schemes on entrepreneurship to boost the
organic economy, and has taken the lead by launching the Kiwi Plantation Project in Village Kola of Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand.
• The trust is also relentlessly working to forster self reliance and leadership by introducing
capacity-building workshops for women and all village members.
