About Shri Chander Singh Negi Memorial Trust
‘Shri Chander Singh Negi Memorial Trust’ is named in the memory of a simple man from a humble background, who was always dedicated to helping those in need.
Late Shri Chander Singh Negi, from Kola village in Block Pokhra of Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, was a former employee of Glaxo India Limited and devoted his life to philanthropic endeavors.
He played a key role in founding the Kolagad Vikas Samiti aimed at the upliftment of his community. Through his tireless efforts, he contributed significantly to the betterment of his village, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and service.
To carry forward his father’s legacy, Shri Lalit Mohan Negi stepped in to expand and realize his late father’s vision.
In 2019, he established this trust with the support of like-minded and generous individuals, aiming to promote holistic development that prioritizes the well-being and progress of the entire community.

- Marriage of poor girls in the society, management of cowsheds, establishment of old age home, financial help to poor and needy ones.

Our future plans for progress in Uttarakhand are centered around building a self-sustaining and inclusive ecosystem that empowers individuals and communities across all dimensions of life. We envision a future where quality education becomes a driving force for transformation, equipping students with digital tools, practical skills, and equal access to opportunities. We aim to strengthen healthcare delivery by ensuring timely medical services and modern diagnostic tools even in remote villages.
Learning
- Adopt 4 additional Janta Inter Colleges in Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, and equip them with modern educational facilities.
- Establish computer labs in 4 schools, benefitting over 500 students.
- Set up digital libraries across all adopted schools, enhancing access to educational resources.
- Ensure proper internet connectivity to enable online learning programs.
- Develop modern kitchens to support home science courses, chef training, and bakery classes in all schools.
- Launch skill development programs to prepare students for future opportunities
Lifestyle
- Provide villages in the Pokhra block with an ultra-portable digital X-ray system for effective TB screening.
- Employ a full-time MBBS doctor at the clinic in Village Kolakhal, Pauri Garhwal, ensuring consistent medical care.
Livelihood
- Partner with over 150 Self-Help Groups (SHGs) by June 2025 and expand to 200 women entrepreneurs by September 2025.
- Develop cooperative models to drive sustainable economic growth.
- Create steady work opportunities for women in SHGs, promoting financial independence
- Enhance farming opportunities and establish a demand-driven supply chain for organic products.
